Over the past 6 months a lot has changed in my life. I visited 3 new countries and along the way I realised what I like and what I don’t. I began a new career in the position I want to be in. I definitely realised who my real friends are. And at one moment I even lost sight of everything before a wake up call helped me to realise what I was doing.

If the things I’ve been through last year have taught me anything then it’s that I am now more than ever- ready to travel the world.

I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Whilst I’m young and have no responsibilities it is the best time for me to take that big trip.

Obviously, I can’t just drop everything and go. I’m not made of money and I’m also not completely stupid.

I am currently on an 18 month graduate program ending in March next year. I absolutely love it and it’s such a good opportunity for me. I have no plans to leave the scheme, I’m really happy with it. However I also think you should follow your dreams. There aren’t many times in your life that you can purchase a one way ticket from one side of the world to another, it’s hard to find the time. But for me, the end of my graduate scheme marks the time for me.

I’ve been talking about the Australian Working Holiday Visa for a very long time now and I’ve never had the finances or time to do it. I am so very excited to say that next year is the year I go. And when I have a plan, I stick to it.

Last year I let someone into my life and lost sight of my dreams for a moment. I dropped everything and became blind to what I really wanted. It took that experience to make me realise what I really need in my life and I am never happier than when I’m exploring new places. There is so much out there and so much time in the future for me to settle down somewhere. Now is the time to explore.

So next year I leave for the trip of a lifetime and I won’t look back…
